N'ganj school headmaster sent to jail
A Narayanganj Court yesterday sent Aminul Islam Khondkar, former headmaster of Narayanganj High School, to the district jail in a corruption case when he surrendered before it for bail.
Aminul Islam along with his lawyer appeared before the District and Sessions Judge's Court and prayed for bail.
After hearing both the sides, judge Muhammad Abul Mansur rejected the bail petition and sent him to the jail.
Hamida Begumm, a teacher of the school, filed a case against Aminul Islam accusing him of misappropriating Tk 20 lakh. Aminul Islam became fugitive after obtaining bail from the court twice.
The court fixed tomorrow for hearing on the bail petition.
"I could not appear in the court following threat from the complainant and due to my illness. I am a victim of conspiracy, " Aminul Islam said.
