Police yet to rescue abducted N'ganj trader

Earlier, the members of his family paid Tk four lakh in ransom to the kidnappers to buy his release.

Enamul Haque Falun was kidnapped at Godnail on July 18 last year while he was returning home with Tk 70000.

Falun's wife Asmaul Husna and brother Mir Dildar Hossain at a press conference at Narayanganj Press Club yesterday said they are not sure whether Falun is alive or not as 11 months of the abduction have already passed without any communication from him.

A case was filed against 19 miscreants of Siddirganj, including Bilas, on July 30 with Siddhirganj police station.

They said police are not arresting the abductors although the kidnappers are roaming freely at Siddhirganj area.

The miscreants are giving threats to us for withdrawal of the case, they added.

Three dyeing factories of Falun family have been closed after his abduction, they said.
