Badiul Alam Jebunnessa Trust formed
Communication Minister Nazmul Huda inaugurated the "Badiul Alam-Jebunnessa Begum Trust" as the chief guest at a simple ceremony at the Chittagong District Council auditorium recently, says a press release.
The Trust was formed for social welfare in the name of late Advocate Badiul Alam, an organiser of the War of Liberation and a lawyer and his wife.
Bangladesh Bar Council member Advocate Shamsuddin Ahmed Mirza presided. Former DACSU VP Badrul Alam, former president of Chittagong Bar Advocate Kabir Chowdhury, IIUC Student Affairs Director AZM Obadullah, Public Prosecutor Advocate Kafiluddin Chowdhury, human rights activista Advocate Zia Habib and Advocate Sharifuddin also spoke.
Former commerce minister Amir Khashru Mahmood Chowdhury MP, Dr Moinul Islam Mahmood and city BNP General Secretary Dastagir Chowdhury were present.
