Three killed by lightning

Quoting local people, police said the victims Abdus Samad, 22, son of Muhammad Ali of village Purba Nalta under Kaliganj upazila, Gour Chandra Das, 48, son of Charu Chandra Das of Town Sreepur under Debhata upazila and Montasur Rahman, 32, son of Abdus Sobhan of village Alipur under Sadar upazila died on the spot.

The nor'wester also damaged standing crops extensively.
