UODA art exhibition begins

The second annual exhibition of artwork of the University of Development Alternatives (UODA) was inaugurated at the National Museum gallery in the city yesterday.

Addressing the inaugural session as chief guest, State Minister for Cultural Affairs Selima Rahman underscored the need for promoting Bangladeshi art and culture.

Chaired by UODA Vice Chancellor Prof Emajuddin Ahmed, the session was attended, among others, by noted painter Mustafa Monowar and National Museum Director General Mahmudul Huq.

A total of 244 artworks by 122 artists are on display at the exhibition that will remain open until April 18.
