School for garment workers' children
This laudable initiative aims at upholding the human values and providing them with access to one of the fundamental rights.
Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Abdullah Al Noman inaugurated the school at a simple ceremony at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) yesterday.
Addressing the ceremony as chief guest, he assured of all sorts of co-operation for the allotment of a suitable land to run the school even more smoothly.
"A total of 75 poor students are studying at the school and we hope to accommodate over 300 students in next couple of years", BGMEA first vice president MA Salam told the reporters.
State Minister for Environment and Forests Jafrul Islam Chowdhury also spoke at the function.
