KU pro-VC withdrawn

An official letter was sent to the Khulna University in this regard yesterday. He has been asked to join his previous job in the Department of Accounting of Rajshahi University.

Dr Jabid hailing from Rampal upazila of Bagerhat district joined the Khulna University as pro-VC on February 3, 2002.

KU sources said that he was withdrawn as he was facing allegations of corruption, nepotism and malpractices. Inquiry against him is going on, the sources added.

I have been the victim of conspiracy hatched up by a section of teachers and officials of the university, Dr Jabid said refuting all allegations against him.

Dr Jabid allegedly provided jobs to many people of his district taking bribes as chairman of the KU recruitment committee.
