1,667 more held
Police arrested 1,667 people on various charges from different parts of the country in the last 24 hours as of 6.00am yesterday.
During the period, the law enforcers recovered nine firearms and nine bullets and filed five cases against nine people under the Arms Act, says a police headquarters press release.
