Mala Khan gets chancellor's gold medal
Mala Khan has received the chancellor's gold medal for obtaining the highest CGPA-3.9 out of 4 among the students of all departments of the University of Asia Pacific (UPA) in the spring 2000 session.
President Iajuddin Ahmed, chancellor of the UPA, awarded the gold medal on the occasion of convocation of the university recently.
She got the degree of BSc (Hons) in computer science and engineering.
Mala Khan is the first and only woman in Bangladesh who works in the area of analytical instrumentation and laboratory information management systems (LIMS). She is the mother of two daughters.
