Police pick up 4 Shibir cadres
Police picked up four workers of Islami Chhatra Shibir for their suspicious movement in the Dhaka Judge Court area today, a day after a clash between Shibir and JCD and Chhatra League at Jagannath University College.
The detained Shibir workers, identified as Mostafa, Mahbub, Alamgir and Abul Kalam, were taken to Kotwali thana for interrogation.
Police found some stone chips and brickbats from a bag of Alamgir and recovered a letter from Abul Kalam after searching their bodies at about 12:30 pm.
The letter contains some instructions asking them to remain in the court premises and the campus in disguise, and not to take shelter in the court mosque.
