DU plans to build hall after the name of Khaleda

Although no formal decision has been taken, a sign reading 'Khaleda Zia Hall' has been hung at the designated site near the Curzon Hall.

It is learnt that the government has handed over 2.59 acres of land of Bangladesh Railway to the university authorities in this regard.

When contacted, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof AFM Yousuf Haidar did not make any comment in this regard.

Vice-Chancellor Prof SMA Faiz was not available even after repeated attempts.
