One dies after taking sweet

Shamsul Haq, 50, died at around 1:30pm at Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH). Four others, Romiza Khatun, 40, Rozina Khatun, 20, Fahim, 3, and Rina, 2, were undergoing treatment at the CMCH.

The family live on Sarder Bahadur Road of Jhautala under Khulshi thana.

Sources said they fell sick after having rashamalai (a kind of sweetmeat) brought by one of their relatives from Dhaka yesterday morning.
