Khulna journos submit memo to PM, Babar
Khulna journalists yesterday submitted separate memoranda to the prime minister and state minister for home affairs demanding fair probe and punishment of the criminals responsible for Saturday's blast at Khulna Press Club.
The memorandum to the prime minister, submitted through Deputy Commissioner Mahbubur Rahman, was received by ADC (Gen) Md Mokhlesur Rahman, as Mahbub was on an official tour.
The journalists demanded the prime minister's direct intervention to ensure an impartial probe into the case.
They also urged her to make necessary arrangements for sending injured Sheikh Belaluddin Ahmed, bureau chief of daily Sangram, abroad for better treatment.
The other memorandum was submitted through Police Commissioner (Khulna Range) Javed Patwary.
Meantime, doctors at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka removed the oxygen support system from Belaluddin yesterday, said a CMH staff.
