Clarification
Tasmima Hossain, convenor of the Bikkhubdha Nari Morcha, an alliance of women activists, has disclaimed some statements published on February 3 in a Daily Star report headlined 'Grenade attacks a conspiracy to eliminate best sons of soil' quoting her name. Tasmima clarified that she did not address the Bikkhubdha Nari Morcha-organised rally on that occasion.

Our report carried the statements from a leaflet that the Bikkhubdha Nari Morcha distributed during its Februaru 2 rally in the city. Tasmima Hossain was a signatory to the statements made in that leaflet distributed on behalf of 113 women leaders and right activists.
