Bangladeshi envoy presents credentials to Jamaican governor general

The high commissioner also had an exclusive meeting with the Governor General and conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the president and the prime minister of Bangladesh to him.

He briefed the governor general about different programmes undertaken by the government led by Prime Minister Khaleda Zia for the socio-economic development of Bangladesh.

Reciprocating the sentiment, the governor general referred to the excellent relations existing between the two countries and expressed the hope that the present ties would be further consolidated in the coming days.

The governor general congratulated the Bangladesh Cricket Team for its first test series victory and said Bangladesh is a popular name in Jamaica as well as in the Caribbean as a test playing nation.
