One get life for killing father

Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohsin Mollah handed down the verdict on Tarequl Islam.

The court also fined him Tk 50,000. He will have to suffer another 10 years' imprisonment if he fails to pay.

According to the prosecution, Tarequl attacked his father Nazlar Rahman at their house with a sharp weapon on June 1, 2002 over a previous feud.

With severe injuries, Nazlar was rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital but he died on the way.

Rahima Begum, wife of Nazlar, filed a case with Palashbari police station.
