Two top cadres of Janajuddho arrested in Savar
A joint team of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) and police arrested two top cadres of Janajuddho faction of outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party on Thursday night.
They were identified as Hasibul Alam and Ekramul Haq Santoo of village Nilmaniganj in Alamdanga upazila.
They are accused in at least 30 cases, including 15 murder cases, filed with different police stations in Chuadanga, police said.
Acting on information, the joint team arrested the two during a raid in Savar, according to Rab and police sources.
Police said both of them fled from Chuadanga after the Rab launched its drive several months ago.
They were taken to Chuadanga and being interrogated by the joint cell of Rab and police.
