2 bodies recovered in city

Ramna police recovered the body of Giasuddin, 45, an employee of the Primary and Mass Education Division , from a house at 81/2 Outer Circular Road, Bara Maghbazar at 11:00am.

The body was hidden in a sack with hands and legs tied with a rope, police said.

They sent the body to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Morgue sources said the body bore marks of injuries caused by severe beatings.

The other body was recovered by Mirpur police from inside a hotel-room at Gabtali.

On information, police found the body of Biplob Hossain, 30, from Room No 33 of Hotel Abashik at 2:30pm.

The body was hanging from the ceiling with a rope.

According to hotel register, Biplob, who hailed from Bogra, arrived there on Wednesday night.

Police could not give any further details till last night.
