2 muggers held in port city

They were identified as Kamal, son of Abdul Malek of Kutumpur under Chandina upazila in Comilla, and Mizan, son of Majnu of Quazir Dewri in the port city.

The muggers were handed over to Kotwali Police Station where a case was lodged against them in this connection.

Police said four muggers attacked Army Sergeant Quadir while he was going to office at Special Works Organisation (SWO) at Dampara in the morning.

After getting down from the bus, the sergeant in plain clothes was walking to his office when the muggers snatched away money and mobile phone from him at dagger's point.

Quadir with the help of his colleagues at SWO chased the muggers and caught two of them from nearby Battery Golli (lane).
