Deadlock in Jute Mills
Take action against persons responsible
Khulna regional unit leaders of 'Patkal Sramik Karmachari Sangram Parishad' at a rally on Monday demanded of the authorities concerned to take legal action against the persons responsible for creating deadlock in jute mills.
Sangram Parishad leaders said that jute mills of Khulna region are also in the grip of 'mafia' group like Mongla port. They demanded investigation to identify the members of this 'mafia' group and legal action against them to save the jute mills from being ruined.
They also threatened greater movement shortly to realise their damands.
The Sangram Parishad leaders warned the government of dire consequence if jute mills were not freed from the grip of 'mafia' group.
Meanwhile, several thousand jute millers offered their Eid prayers on Khalishpur BIDC road instead of mosque in protest against the non-payment of their arrear wages and salaries and bonus.
