Concern over gas field fire
Different political, social and cultural organisations yesterday expressed concern over the fire at Tengratila gas field in Doarabazar upazila of Sunamganj district and demanded effective compensation.
The leaders of the organisations blamed the government for not taking effective steps to extinguish the fire.
They also demanded immediate action against those responsible for the fire at the company.
Sylhet Division Development Action Council will stage sit-in at 3.30pm at Muktangan in the city today protesting the fire at Sunamganj gas field.
Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD) and Bangladesh Jubo Moitri also demanded the compensation.
