Proshika distributes clothes among cold-hit people
Proshika, a leading NGO, has started distributing warm clothes among cold-hit people, especially the children and the aged ones, in northern districts.
Staffs of head and regional offices of the organisation donated clothes, said a press release.
Apart from this, Proshika has sanctioned Tk 3 lakh for purchasing more winter clothes. Of the amount, Tk 1.23 lakh was sanctioned from the Disaster Management Fund while Tk 1 lakh from its Special Assistance Fund and Tk 77,000 by the staffs of head office (two per cent of their December month's salary).
A four-member committee, headed by the Principal Programme Coordinator Nasir Uddin, has been formed to coordinate distribution of the clothes.
