Strengthen SA security by combating terrorism

Speakers at the concluding session urged the leaders of all South Asian countries to ensure peaceful use of nuclear power.

Two keynote papers were presented at the concluding session.

Dr Zillur Rahman Khan, professor emeritus of Wisconsin University, USA and Dr Arup Chowdhury of Gouhati University, India presented the papers.

Chaired by Prof Dr M Ataur Rahman, president of Bangladesh Political Science Association, the discussion was participated by Biss Director Dr Abdur Rab Khan, Journalist Jaglul Ahmed Chowdhury , JSD President Hasanul Haq Inu, Chairman of Peace and Conflict Department of Dhaka University Dr Dalim Chandra Barman, Principal of Delhi College Prof Asha Gupta and Editor of the Indian Journal of Political Science Sanjib Kumar Sarma took part in the discussion.

The two-day conference was organised by Bangladesh Political Science Association (BPSA) in collaboration with International Political Science Association and American Institute of Bangladesh Studies (AIBS) at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies auditorium in the city.

Political scientists from the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia and India took part in the conference.
