JU Day on Jan 12

Vice-chancellor Prof Khandaker Mustahidur Rahman will inaugurate a daylong programme on the occasion.

A colorful procession will be brought out on the campus at around 10:00am. It will be followed by a meeting of former teachers, students, officers and employees of the university at Muktamancha to reminisce their past.

Some games for them and for their children have also been arranged at university ground at 3.00pm.

Jahangirnagar Sangskritik Jote will hold a cultural programme at Muktamancha at 6:30pm. It will be followed by a drama titled 'George Dandya'.

To mark the occasion, The Gonoshilpi, a cultural group, organises a three-day photography exhibition at the corridor of the central auditorium from January 10 to 12.

Photographs taken by Aly Zaker and Shankar Shaujal, two theatre personalities, will be on display.

Former JU teachers, students, officers and employees willing to attend the programme have been requested to register by paying Tk 200 through bank draft and filling up forms which will be available at the Agrani Bank branches at Shahbagh and JU till today.
