Transport strike in Mymensingh tomorrow
Transport owners and workers yesterday called a 24-hour strike in greater Mymensingh for tomorrow, demanding that Dhaka-Mymensingh highway be repaired soon and their agreement with the government on movement of BRTC buses in the region be implemented.
Greater Mymensingh Sarak Paribahan Malik Sramik Oikya Parishad called the strike in Mymensingh, Kishoreganj, Sherpur, Jamalpur, Netrakona and Tangail districts.
At a press conference at Mymensingh Chamber of Commerce and Industry office, the Parishad leaders also threatened to continue the strike if their demands are not met.
