Tribute to 8 Old Faujian martyrs

Eight Old Faujian martyrs are: Maj. Md. Abdul Khaleque, Capt AKM Nurul A K M Nurul Absar, Md Mosharraf Hossain, Capt. Md. Shamsul Huda, Lt. Md. Anwar Hossain, Bir Uttam, Badiul Alam, Bir Bikram, Mufti Muhammed Kased and 2/Lt. Rafique Ahmed Sarker

Old Faujians Association Chairman Obaidur Rahman in his speech said that the known aim of establishing cadet colleges in the than East Pakistan was to produce young men who would be able to provide leadership to the men of country in various spheres of activities. The motto of the college established by the first principal Lt Col William Maurice Brown which is valid till today-"Deeds not words." The Faujians have proven by their participation and sacrificing their lives in the War of Liberation that they lived up to the motto. The younger generation of the Old Faujians can proudly say they had worthy elder brothers.

OFn. SM Moslehuddin Ahmed presented the war history of the eight martyrs.

Fazlul Alam, younger brother of OFn. Shaheed Baidul Alam and Mufti Latif Hossain, brother of OFn. Shaheed Mufti Latif Hossain and OFn. Shaheed Mufti Kased also spoke. They praised the Old Faujians Association for organising such function.

OFn. Sufee Mushtaque Ahmed, president of Old Faujians Association Dhaka Chapter, gave vote of thanks.

Other than family members of Old Faujian martyrs, Old Faujians politicians, civil and military bureaucrats, corporate chief, bankers, academics, lawyers, intellectuals and university students were present in the function.
