National Youth Day today
National Youth Day-2004 will be observed in the country today aiming to inspire the youth to increasingly involve in nation-building activities.
The government has drawn up various programmes to observe the day in a befitting manner.
Prime Minister Khaleda Zia will inaugurate the day at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the city at noon and distribute National Youth Award-2004 to 16 youths.
An eight-day youth fair will be organised on the Dhanmondi Women Sports Complex premises from December 31.
On the occasion, President Iajuddin Ahmed and Prime Minister Khaleda Zia gave special messages.
