SSKOP threatens tough movement
The leaders of Sangbadik Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad (SSKOP) yesterday threatened to launch tough movement if the government does not form sixth wage board for the journalists and employees in the newspaper industry before January 2.
At a meeting held at the National Press Club, they also protested the statement of Bangladesh Sangbadpatra Parishad (BSP) and Newspapers Owners Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) on the wage board.
The leaders called on all to make the January 2 strike in the newspaper industry a success. The strike was called to press for their seven-point demand.
The wage board is a legal right for the journalists and employees, they said.
