Make January 2 strike a success

Sangbadik Sromik Karmochari Oikkyo Parishad held a meeting yesterday to make its strike on January 2 to realise their seven point demand including formation of the sixth wage board and sixty percent dearness allowance a success.

The leaders announced to start stern movement if the sixth wage board is not constituted within January 2. They also demanded implementation of the contract signed in 1992 to resolve the problems of the Bangladesh Observer and Chitrali. Oikkyo Parishad also announced to hold its meeting at 11:00 am at Dainik Sangram office today.

Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) BSS unit chief Abul Kalam Azad Manik and DUJ Observer unit chief Shahjahan Majumdar presided over the meetings at Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) and Bangladesh Observer office respectively.
