Rab success has enhanced image of govt: Huda

BSS, Dhaka
Communications Minister Nazmul Huda yesterday said image of the government has increased following the success of the Rapid Action Battalion's (Rab) in curbing crime.

He said this while he was addressing a rally at the Kartikpur High School playground at Dohar where a large number of Awami League leaders and activists joined Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) rejecting hartal and destructive politics. Awami League leader Mahbubur Rahman Pannu led the group.

Huda said AL had been working for the fall of the government by patronising criminal activities. He said that Sheikh Hasina maintains critical stand against Rab because the elite force has successfully contained all terrorist campaigns.

He said the criminals not only created chaos in the society but also violated the human rights. The minister said the present government has achieved remarkable success in agriculture, industry, commerce, and communications.

BNP leaders Quamrul Huda, Shahabuddin Ahmed, Alamgir Alam, Dalu Khondoker, former parliament member Shaheed Ahmed Knondoker and Jasas leader Salahuddin Mollah also spoke.
