Workshop on non-formal education ends

Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) in collaboration and the Unesco organised the workshop.

The participants developed sample indicators for monitoring non-formal education.

Professor of Brac University Dr Mahmudul Alam, Deputy Executive Director of Dhaka Ahsania Mission Ehsanur Rahman and Abu Zayed Mohammad of North South University presented papers on monitoring tools and techniques at the workshop.

Dr Manzoor Ahmed, director, Institute of Education and Development, Brac University, attended the concluding session as guest of honour. A Rafique, national programme officer of Unesco, also spoke.

Representatives from 20 NGOs,x including Brac, Dhaka Ahsania Mission, Action Aid Bangladesh, Plan International and Save the Children, took part in the workshop.
