Bangla TV channel in London from December 16

Chairman of the channel and President of British-Bangladesh Press Club Mahi Ferdous Jalil said this at an opinion exchange meeting at the Prestige House here on Saturday.

Ferdous Jalil said that the channel would initially air three hours programme daily, but it would go for 24-hour telecasting from April. The channel will be dedicated to uphold the culture and heritage of Bangladesh as well as projecting the achievements and successes of the expatriate Bangladeshis, he said.

The TV channel would telecast its programmes involving Bangladeshi communities abroad, said Chief Executive of Channel-S Rafiquzzaman.
