Oust-govt agitation to continue: Jalil

Jalil also reiterated his call for unity of pro-liberation democratic forces to free the country from the clutches of anti-liberation forces at a view exchange meeting with local journalists at Khulna Press Club VIP auditorium yesterday.

He said that unity of pro-liberation forces and formation of 14-party alliance were crying need of the hour to save the people and country as well from the misrule of the government.

He called upon the people to make cross-country 'no-confidence' human wall from Sundarbans to Sunamganj on December 30 a grand success.

Daily Prothom Alo correspondent Shaikh Abu Hasan, City AL president Talukder Abdul Khaleque MP, former Whip Mostafa Rashidi Shuja and city AL Secretary Mizanur Rahman also spoke at the view exchange meeting.

Khulna Press Club acting president AK Hiru presided.

Jalil also addressed a meeting of party leaders and workers at city AL office with district unit President Shaikh Harun-ar-Rashid in the chair.

Jalil warned the ruling party of dire consequence for any attempt to foil December 30 programme by letting loose members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab).

Rab is creating reign of terror in the name of containing crime, he said, adding that killing in crossfire was the most unlawful and violation of human rights.

Earlier, Jalil inaugurated Khulna branch of Merchantile Bank at KDA avenue in the City.
