Stamp on Saarc Summit released

A first-day cover valued at Tk 6 was also issued on the occasion.

The issuance of the stamp coincides with the 19th anniversary of the signing of Saarc Charter.

Prime Minister Khaleda Zia cancelled the stamp at a simple ceremony at her office.

Foreign Minister M Morshed Khan, who was present on the occasion, told the prime minister that the Saarc has been awarded "Observer" status at the United Nations.
