Grenade recovered
A powerful hand grenade was recovered from a tea stall at Sonadanga in the city yesterday morning, police said.
The tea stall is adjacent to the residence of Ward Commissioner Anwarul Kadir Khokan. Police recovered the grenade in presence of Khokan.
Khokan said the grenade was planted at the stall to kill him. He said that the outlaws gave him death threats several times in last two months as he refused to pay toll to them.
