Special BRTC buses for Biswa Ijtema

Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) has arranged special bus service from tomorrow for the devotees intending to attend the Biswa Ijtema beginning on December 3.

A total of 315 special buses will operate throughout the country till December 7, said BRTC Chairman Taimur Alam Khandaker at a press conference in the city yesterday.

These buses will carry the devotees to the Ijtema venue in Tongi from Aricha, Paturia Ghat, Maowa, Narayanganj, Mirpur, Meghna Ghat, Narsingdi, Bhairab, Tangail, Mymensingh, Sayedabad, Gulistan, Gabtali, Sadarghat, Kamalapur and Joydevpur.

Of the 315 buses, 95 will operate from BRTC bus depot at Kalyanpur, 84 from Joarasahara , 62 from Motijheel, 50 from Mirpur, and 24 from Narsingdi bus depot.

The BRTC chairman said that BRTC would operate more buses on the day of Akheri Munajat on December 5.

A BRTC medical team would also be stationed at the Ijtema venue for the treatment of devotees, he added.
