Seminar on int'l education held

Judith Chammas, deputy chief of the US Mission, and Kim McQuay, country representative of the Asia Foundation, were the special speakers at the event.
Judith Chammas eulogized the functional value of international education towards developing peace, tolerance and goodwill.
Kim McQuay detailed the role of the Asia Foundation in its 50 years of work in Bangladesh.
Prof. Dr. Arifa Rahman, head, Department of English, presented a paper on 'Educational ideology and its misapplication in Bangladesh'.
Rokia Afzal Rahman, chairman of Presidency University Foundation Board, Prof Dr Baqui Khalily, acting vice-chancellor of the university, also spoke.
