Notorious robber held in B'baria

Acting on a tip off, police raided the house of one Israfil and arrested Manik Mia alias Kukkya Manikkya, from a birthday party.

According to police, Manik is directly involved in Kalishreepara robbery and Shreemangal inter-city train robbery.

He is also an accused in several murder cases.

On hearing the news of Manik's arrest, local traders brought out a procession demanding his immediate punishment.

Manik was sent to jail custody, police added.
