12-hour transport strike in Bhairab today

The strike will be enforced from 6.00am to press for the stoppage of 'Jatayat Pribahan Pvt. Limited' buses in Bhairab.

Rafiqul Islam, president of Bhairab Bus Owners Association, was assaulted allegedly by 'Jatayat Paribahan' authorities.

The bus owners and the transport workers held a protest meeting at Bhairab bus terminal yesterday afternoon with Rafiqul Islam in the chair. Later, they brought out a procession in the town in support of the strike programme.
