JCD men lock rooms of civil surgeon's office in Satkhira

Our Correspondent, Satkhira
Leaders and workers of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student front of the ruling BNP, locked all the rooms of civil surgeon's office here yesterday demanding cancellation of what they said was illegal appointment of third and fourth class employees.

The JCD has been agitating since 25 people were appointed on October 30.

Sources said the agitated activists led by Hafizur Rahman Mukul, general secretary of Shatkhira district JCD, entered the civil surgeon's office and drove out all the doctors and staffs before locking the rooms.

The staffs immediately left the office for fear of assault.

When contacted, Acting Civil Surgeon Dr Moniruzzaman said the JCD leaders entered the room when a co-ordination meeting was going on and forced them to leave the room.
