4 muggers caught red-handed in Ctg

A mob caught hold of the four and recovered the looted money after the victim, Shahid Ullah, cried for help. The muggers with a foreign-made revolver loaded with four bullets were handed over to police.

The trader was going to a bank to deposit Tk 50,000 when the gang of four intercepted his CNG-run autorickshaw in front of Chittagong Shopping Complex at 11.00am.

They got into the vehicle and snatched his money at gun-point but could not escape as local people rushed to the aid of Shahid when he raised an alarm. Shahid is the proprietor of Al Jilani Enterprise.

The arrestees are Tozam Sheikh, 28, Ujjal Chowdhury, 22, Bellal, 25, and Yusuf, 22.
