One chopped to death in Netrakona

Police said, after taking his Sehri, Siddik Mia was going to the nearby mosque for Fazr prayers. On the way, the killers chopped him to death with sharp weapons.

Elder brother of the dead and headmaster of Netrakona High School, Saidur Rahman, filed a murder case with the Netrakona Police Station (PS) accusing nine persons including Ali Osman and Islam Uddin of the same village. Police arrested Ali Osman.

Officer-in-charge of Netrakona PS Aktaruzzaman said that the killing was a sequel to a land dispute.
