3 shot in crossfire as criminals trade fire

A gang of local goons exchanged bullets with a rival group at Karail slum at around 9:00am, said witnesses.

Shopkeeper Nashu Miah, 50, a housewife aged around 40, and a pedestrian were injured during the half-an-hour shootout.

Nashu was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) while the other two were undergoing treatment at Chest Disease Hospital at Mohakhali.

And in Ramna, miscreants stabbed one Mohammad Fazlu in front of the Metropolitan Hotel when he was passing through the area at around 3:00pm.

He was admitted to DMCH.
