Outlaw beaten to death in Satkhira
The mob caught Akram Hossain, 40, an activist of outlawed Purba Banglar Communist Party (ML Janajuddha faction) and beat him to death after he along with five or six outlaws fired at former Jalalpur UP member Shahadat Hossain, police said quoting local people.
Shahadat was chatting with people at a tea stall when the gang fired but he escaped unhurt. He then took shelter to a nearby house.
Local people chased the gang and managed to catch hold of Akram at Soldarpara.
In another incident, a housewife was poisoned to death allegedly by her husband at village Kesha in Tala yesterday.
The victim Hasima Khatun, 26, died after taking medicines as her husband Matiar Rahman mixed poison with the medicines, sources said.
