Fudan University champions, Buet second

The champion team secured the first place solving six problems out of eight at the contest held at the North South University (NSU) in the city.

The Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) obtained the second position solving five problems and the National University of Singapore got the third place solving four problems.

The prize distribution ceremony was held at Dhaka Sheraton Hotel in the evening.

As many as 96 teams representing over 40 universities from Bangladesh, India, China and Singapore took part in the competition. The winners will participate in the world finals to be held in China from April 3 to 7.

The ICPC draws contestants from colleges and universities throughout the world. At present, it has over 126 regional sites in 75 countries.
