Global Online assigned the official ISP of BCB

Under the agreement, GOS will be providing internet services for a period of two consecutive years to all BCB offices and Bangladesh Krira Shikhha Protishthan (BKSP) training complex. They will also provide internet services at all the international match venues during the matches. A dialup network connection will be given to team members while they stay at hotels on international grounds, using the global roaming network. "These facilities will also be available to foreign teams playing international matches in Bangladesh," mentions Macky Dudhia.
The company has already set up a radio link at the BKSP ground in the city and a fiber optic link at Chittagong stadium, while providing for dial-up connections for other sports locations of the country. "With such net connections, data transfer ability is enhanced and communication gaps among locations within the country are bridged," states Macky Dudhia. GOS has undertaken the entire process in exchange for billboard advertisement displays on match grounds.
BCB is currently conducting IT executive training sessions in India to enhance technical facilities for the Bangladesh team. The Board has been allotted a donation of computers from the British Council, and BCB hopes to provide laptop facilities to all its coaches in the near future.
According to Ahmed, GOS at present has several running websites for immediate cricket coverage of matches. While these sites are still hosted through foreign hands, GOS hopes for local hosting in the near future.
GOS, the ISP part of Texas Group, started its venture solely as a corporate ISP back in 1997. Today, GOS holds a substantial market share of the country's ISP industry, equipped with latest technology and efficient management skills. Now that GOS is officially assigned for BCB net access facilities, Macky Dudhia holds high hopes for inter-organizational growth between the companies, in anticipation of a new tech era in the sports community of Bangladesh.
