Mob beats robber to death in Noakhali

Identity of the dead could not be known immediately.

A gang of seven to eight armed robbers entered the house of one Abdul Majid at Charmondolia village in the early hours and began to loot.

Being awakened by the noise, landlord Majid and his son Faruq tried to capture the robbers who stabbed them indiscriminately.

Majid, however, succeeded in capturing one of the robbers while others fled away with the booty.

As the news spread, locals rushed there and beat the robber to death.
