Father, son held for keeping arms

They were identified as Joynal Abedin Mizi, 50, and his son Moinuddin, 26, both rickshawpullers of the village.

But Mizi's wife Rokeya said that an influential relative of Mizi secretly kept the arms in the house following a land dispute and informed the Rab.

Angered by the arrest of poor rickshawpullers, local people put up barricades on Comilla-Noakhali road disrupting traffic for two hours.

Later, police brought the situation under control.
