CPD Board of Trustees meets

The 22nd meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) was held at its office in the city on Wednesday.

The board expressed its satisfaction over the CPD's performance in research, dialogue and other activities during the January-August period this year.

It encouraged the CPD to continue its work in advancing civil society's views as regards issues of national concern and interests.

The board also called for focussing more on the evolving South Asian agenda.

The meeting approved the CPD's accounts for the period of January-June 2004 and the revised budget for the rest of the year.

Presided over by CPD Chairman Prof Rehman Sobhan, the meeting was attended by board members M Syeduzzaman, Prof Mohammad Yunus, Syed Manzur Elahi, Prof Anisuzzaman, SH Kabir, Dr Quazi Faruque Ahmed, Nurul Haq and Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya.

Prof Mustafizur Rahman, research director of CPD, was also present.
