Sylhet dist, city BNP committees dissolved
Sylhet district and city executive committees of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) were dissolved and two convening committees formed yesterday.
A BNP press release said in Dhaka yesterday that an 11-member district convening committee was constituted with Ilias Ali,MP as its convener. A nine-member city convening committee was formed with Ariful Haque Chowdhury as its convener.
BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan yesterday approved the two convening committees on the recommendations made by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Tarique Rahman, who is supervising and coordinating the conference of the party in Sylhet division.
